INDUSTRY COHORTS
Industry cohorts are short-term (usually 8-week) programs designed to move participants in the same direction as the full, 9-month Boston Fellows program—equipping them to serve God and neighbor in the working world through spiritual formation, intellectual and professional development, and a community of peers.
However, industry cohorts require a lower level of commitment, while also providing the opportunity to go deeper with peers working in their same professional field of service. As such, these cohorts are ideal for alumni of the full program, as well as those not able to commit to the full program at this time.
Participation in an industry cohort entails a commitment to these elements:
Daily personal devotional/meditational disciplines, following a common format. (About 15+ minutes daily.)
Readings/assignments before the weekly meeting—about 20-30 pages weekly.
Weekly meetings around shared refreshments or a meal, discussion of reading, sharing and prayer for one another. (About 90 minutes/meeting.)
