Creator and Designer of all that is lovely and fruitful, fill me today with your Holy Spirit, who broods over chaos, transforming it into something "good" and "very good." A Litany of Thanksgiving

Let us give thanks to God our Father for all his gifts so freely bestowed upon us.

For the beauty and wonder of your creation, in earth and sky and sea.

We thank you, Lord.

For all that is gracious in the lives of men and women, revealing the image of Christ,

We thank you, Lord.

For our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and our friends,

We thank you, Lord.

For minds to think, and hearts to love, and hands to serve,

We thank you Lord.

For health and strength to work and leisure to rest and play,

We thank you, Lord.

For the brave and courageous, who are patient in suffering and faithful in adversity,

We thank you, Lord.

For all valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice,

We thank you, Lord.

For the communion of saints, in all times and places,

We thank you, Lord.

Above all, we give you thanks for the great mercies and promises given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord;

Almighty God, we thank you for the
great range of occupations to which you
call your people. Thank you for the
numerous workplaces in which
members of our congregation are
placed, as lights in the darkness. We
are indeed the Church in the world. Help
us to see our workplaces as our mission
field, and to understand what a privilege
this is. May we work conscientiously and
with integrity, honouring our colleagues,
encouraging those who are insecure,
and sharing their load with those who
are overburdened. But give us courage,
too, at whatever cost to ourselves, to
stand for what is right and just, with
humility and courtesy, following the
example of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

The elixir
Teach me, my God and King, in all
things thee to see, and what I do in
anything to do it as for thee. The man
that looks on glass on it may stay his
eye, or if he pleaseth, through it pass
and then the heaven espy. All may of

healed. You know precisely what each
